Software problems let me tell you, It all started
when I went to post. I recognized that my cd was
not recognizing disc. Plus I could not record from
any source. Two things happened while I slept.
First a windows security update came down the
line. Then because I did not have an updated driver
on my CD it was removed. It showed up in the menu
but said it did not exist when I went to look for it.
Why the drivers were not updated with the others is
also a mystery. After many hours of troubleshooting
[I even put in a new cd/dvd drive] I was able to fix it.
Curious I went to windows site and checked the
message board and sure enough some others were
having the same problem because their drivers were
out of date. Difference was they were unable to solve
the problem. I told them how. Now that's a cool feeling.
