Man, My very own bank is stickin' it to me.
I have always had my arse covered in case
I might not have enough in the checking account.
You know what's known as overdraft protection.
Occasionally in the past I forgot I had a bill pending
and would go over, so I had this protection which is
part of my account. Now I find if I go over I get
charged. Not only that but I pay a monthly fee to do
such. You can decline. Problem is you don't have to
sign up, they automatically sign you up. Now you have
to go to them and say I don't want this service. They
call it "Opting out" of the service. I have been trying
to talk to a live person for 3 weeks. This rep is
always in a "meeting", yeah right. So I figure it's
not the $3. a month, it's the fact you have to contact
them to take you off. Sucks. So as I sit on hold let us
spin some tunes. Here's to a great weekend!

Rockcast Wednesday.08.19.09a; Pink Fairies, Afrofiesta, Rolling Stones, Mott The Hoople, Farmer Dave Scher, Bob Mould, Third Eye Blind, Sister Hazel.

Michael Vick is an American professional football
player who was convicted of various charges involving
a dog fighting ring. He was sent to prison and served
his time. Last week he was signed by the Philadelphia
Eagles to play. Dog people seem to have a problem with
him getting a job again. They feel he should not be at all
forgiven for his crime. Even though he has gone to the
big house and served his time for the crime. Oddly the
same people I asked about another player, who driving
drunk ran over and killed a construction worker at 5
in the morning. These same people feel this guys year
long ban from football is unfair. They cite the fact he also
has been to the hoosegow. Yes but he killed someone and
served a third of what Mike Vick had to for dog fighting.
Isn't it odd one got less time for killing a human being?
Oh and Michael also has to do community service at the
Humane Society. Think they got him doing lethal injections?
Oh I am so goin' to hell for that one!

Rockcast Monday.08.17.09a; Johnny Winter, Jefferson Airplane, Santana, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Al Kooper, Blood Sweat & Tears, Grateful Dead

I had planned to do a set of my favorite cuts
from Woodstock for a few years now. I was a
bit put off by the lame documentary I watched
and all the marketing. My Mom told me today
she felt at the time in 1969 it was just a bunch
of dirty Hippies doing drugs. A bunch is right.
Actually I was a kid who sat in his cousins basement
and listened on Ham radio to reports from the
site. What we heard from the conversations going on
was a great time was being had by mostly all. I was
sitting there imagining what I was hearing and it was
a cool experience which included us all talking about
everything we were hearing and why it did not match
what was being shown on TV. Obviously My Mom
was watching the TV. Explains why she remembers it
the way she does. Of course I had to include some
rare parts of the Festival. Enjoy.
