Most of the people I know would not drive a
car that is 25 years old. Exception being my
friends who are car collectors and have special
antique cars they pull out for only special occasions.
So why is it we send U.S. Astronauts into space
in a decrepit 25 year old vehicle? Yes, the crew of
Discovery is flying around in a shuttle built and
first used in 1984. What NASA wasn't eligible for
that stupid cash for clunkers program? In 1984
I had a beautiful on the outside Thunderbird. It
literally fell apart as I drove it. The final straw
being the transmission falling off the car as I sat
at a red light. So if my '84 car which had less than
30,000 miles fell apart what is Discovery doing?
It has a better warranty for one thing! Still, there is
no place to plug an mp3 player into.

evacuate. Felt they would be safe in their hot tub if
the need arose. It did, They weren't. Remember this
