Rockcast Tuesday.01.05.10; Cheap Trick, Brendan Benson, Andrew Gold, Aerosmith, Story Of The Year, Todd Snider, Hinder, Aranda, Def Leppard.
Welcome to a new year of Rockcast. I am always
pleased to see you stop by. As usual I will be venting
on these pages about things that strike me as funny.
Even more hilarious is when people read it and take it
to seriously. More than not there is always somebody to
agree with the rant of the day. Be fore warned, sometime
I just like to ruffle feathers and hear the reaction. So let
us have some fun! Enjoy the set.

Dear Big AL,
a late happy new year to you. But excuse me, Last Action hero cheesy? My favourite Arnie movie? Okay you say so, hm, no I'm not convinced. Would have settled with childish, but cheesy. Grmpf.
Anyway, the beat goes on. Another year gone - bad. Another to come - good!
The mixes were really something and just roughly calculating the production time of the Christmas mixes. Man, you really work hard!
Honestly the Andrew Gold Mix, didn't like it too much. On the other hand, your Dancing With Myself still beats the original. And your I Just Want To Celebrate is also my favourite.
Some suggestiones Rory Gallagher - Continental Op Defender 1987, You Gotta Move - Aerosmith, Honkin On Bobo 2004 (not only Nine lives was overlooked), Big Head Todd & The Monsters Boom Boom Boom, Beautiful World 1997. Cool mix.
Agreed, bluesy stuff. Had to do a Bluesrock show lately, that's why. Wait, what me predictable? Ha, take this The Grid - Texas Cobwoys, Evolver 1994. Okay only synth pipes but if you mix it into The Chilli Pipers. Vince did, great. Also the plain version is sturdy.
And too long again. So please keep on rocking the free world, and the Rockcasters keep on not singing for poopsie nor choke. And pleeze keep up the rants. I really dig people falling into the traps you lay. Do you dig the holes on purpose or just don't cover them? I dig mine on purpose. Hehe.
Anyway Rockcast still is Rock Candy, Little Texas and Cobrastyle. And a gagazillion more good stuff, jingles, intros, outros, mixes....
Or just Rockcast - This is the Rock (in Miss Nasal voice)

P.S. don't play stuff like A Place To Bury Strangers - Keep Sliding Away. That is addictive! Not much of a song but kept listening to it for hours. A little like Garbage or Duke Spirit or Cardigans. Can't get it out of the system.
Aw come on! I say it's ONE of my favorite Arnie flicks. Plus the scenes with his wife and the muscles from Brussels, Jean Claude Von Damage...Cheesy. Arnie plays Arnie? Cheesy ;-) All his catch phrases like "Ah be Bach" and "Rubber Baby Buggy bumpers"!
Cheezy, to me. Yeah that Andrew Gold, guilty pleasure song, bad mix. Honkin on Bobo was strongly featured in the past. I agree, one of the finest Aerosmith albums ever. Oh and my favorite "stoopid" Arnie movie is True Lies with Jamie Lee Curtis and Tom Arnold. Plus eye candy from Tia Carrera, oh and Jamie's perfect breast. ;-o
Dear Big AL,
talking Jamie Lee I strongly recommend Trading Places (That's not the only thing that costs around here...) And with a DVD hold doesn't rip the tape. It even has a cheesy ending.
And Arnie playing Arnie, okay, but the cover with Stallone as Terminator? And all the stuff they... borrowed from Sledgehammer? And one one of my fovourite quotes: What's wrong with parakeet? No Keanu, wrong movie.
A quick laugh at my expense. At our New Years loosers party we watched a lot of Friends episodes (see Muscles from Brussels). Later everyone had to write down the charakter he could relate to.
Made a roomful of Chandlers and one Ross. Then everybody had to allot a Friends role to the others.
I gave out a lot of Joes and two Phoebes but what did I get? Seven Janices. Out of seven! Nobody told me there'd be days like these
Rock on

P.S. you'd never believe how hard it is for some people to accept the Rembrandts song only got the clapping once
