Rockcast Tuesday.01.12.10a; Puddle Of Mudd, Elvin Bishop & George Thorogood, Beatles, Ringo Starr, 3 Doors Down, Third Eye Blind, 10cc, Cobra Starship

As I was digging through an old carboard box
of albums I found this old 45 rpm single from
the Beatles. It was inside another copy of George
Harrison's All Things Must Pass. The sound was
very murky but after a little cleaning it sounds nice.
The song was recorded in October of 1964 and
features Sir George Martin on piano. I failed to
mention it during the set. So enjoy...

1. Puddle Of Mudd - Uno Mas
2. Elvin Bishop & George Thorogood - Send You Back To Georgia
3. The Beatles - Kansas City Hey Hey Hey
4. Ringo Starr - Fill In The Blanks
5. 3 Doors Down - It's Not My Time [Acoustic Mix]
6. Third Eye Blind - Never Let You Go [Big's Wall Of Guitars Mix]
7. 10cc - Rock N Roll Lullabye
8. Cobra Starship - Hot Mess [Sauve Saurez & Nervo Mix]

Dear Big AL,

I was listening to the latest shows over the stereo (wife's night out). Something is different, I thought. The jingles, new ones, yes. Cranked it up. No, something else. Foolish Behaviour sounds so - wait it's on Rockcast, not the CD. What bitrate is this? Cool! Say hello to the worlds slowest dinosaur.

Occasionally too clumsy for the space-age I hit the mouse wrong and the playlist was suddenly starting with the shortest songs. Amazing stuff piled up there. Didn't know I had the Vera Hall song Moby based Natural Blues on. Gave me an idea. Here we go Polythene Pam - Abbey Road 1969, Lazying On A Sunny Afternoon - A Night At The Opera 1975 Lesser known stuff was also good. Headless - Flying In A Blue Dream 1989, Hot Cha - They Might Be Giants 1990 or Letter To The Censors - Mano Negra, King Of Bongo 1991. The last is unknown in Texas, I think. But it's the coolest Motorhead rip-off I know. And since you played a lot artists using rockworld's most famous lick, that one's almost as famous.

All veery short, but that means lots of space for loong intros and "This Is The Rock" outros and the comedy. And Miss Nasal.

To mention just one song you played lately, listening to Thunderbuck Ram the Rory Gallagher way made someone go "Turn it down! Turn that noise down!" At once I turned to the wall waiting for Steven Tyler to come through. Nothing happened. Would have been nice, I hate the wallpaper anyway. That's the difference between some people from this household and Rory - Rory had taste.

Rock around the clock

Dino

P.S. typing made the playlist move on. Did you ever play George Thorogood - Rock & Roll Man from Rockin' My Life Away 1997 another good one I had forgotten about
